01Charging at homes and shared buildings
For a house, we review the parking space, distribution board and cable route. In a shared building, the assessment also considers whether parking is private or communal, the electricity supply and how use will be managed. These conditions shape the solution and quotation.
02Choosing a wallbox and charging power
The choice depends on the vehicle’s charging capability, available electrical capacity and how long the car remains parked. A higher charger rating does not necessarily make the vehicle charge faster. Power management can be assessed to coordinate charging with other building loads.
03Businesses, hotels and car parks
For employees, guests or car park users, we start with the number of spaces, parking duration and intended access rules. The project should distinguish private charging from potential charge point operations. iHome, Lda. is the charge point operator (OPC), licence no. 51; PIT2CHARGE is its brand.
04What affects installation cost?
Equipment, distance from the distribution board, cable routing, protection devices and any electrical adaptations affect the cost. Send the location, vehicle model, parking arrangement and a description of the installation to begin the assessment. The proposal defines the scope of work.
05Can charging work with solar panels?
We can assess integration with an existing photovoltaic system or a new installation. Use of solar generation depends on generation times, building consumption and when the vehicle is present. The solution is designed around the property’s conditions.
06Arranging an assessment in the Algarve
Include the town and property type in your enquiry. iHome’s contact locations include its showroom in Quinta do Lago, Almancil, and facilities in Loulé. Site visits, timing and installation conditions are arranged for each project.
